Tryout Information

As we approach our first tryout this week, please note that our top priority and the most important consideration has and always will be the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, and families.

Please stay home if you are sick - we all love the game, but one sick child or family member could end the season for the entire Club. Please do your part!

Due to restrictions related to how many people can gather at/on the field at one time, we kindly request that parents stay in their cars and drop off their players for tryouts.

Please review and plan to follow the detailed instructions outlined below:

Arrival & Departure:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before tryout to allow for check in and preparation
  • Each player needs to arrive wearing a face covering and prepared to play (cleats on, shin guards in, hair up, no jewelry/earrings, etc.
  • Once players exit their cars they should head directly to the check-in tent, where they will be assigned, by the Coaches, to a training station.
  • Players should maintain 6-feet distance when walking to and from the field.
  • At the completion of each tryout, players should quickly gather up their ball & water bottle and return to the parking lot for pickup. No remaining on the field and social gathering.
  • There is no congregating allowed on or near any part of the field before, during, or after each tryout session. For this reason, we appreciate the timely pickup of players at the end of each session.
  • Parents must stay in their cars at all times (before, during and after each session)

PPE/Sanitation:

  • Coaches are required to wear appropriate face coverings during training sessions. Players must wear masks when in the playing environment and not playing. Players will also be allowed to wear masks while training, but this will be a personal choice of the player’s parent or guardian. Any other individuals attending the training session are required to wear appropriate face coverings and follow all social distancing guidelines.

Equipment/Gear:

  • Players should use their own soccer ball when possible, unless they receive specific instruction from Coaches.
  • No bags allowed - only bring a soccer ball & water bottle to the field.
  • Players should only use their own equipment.
  • Players will not assist with equipment set up or breakdown.
  • Players should never share water bottles. All water bottles should be labeled with player's name.

Social Distancing:

  • Players should practice social distancing when off the field.
  • Players will be required to keep their distance during water breaks.
  • No eating, chewing gum, spitting during tryouts.
  • No food should be brought or shared between anyone on the fields.
  • No huddles, handshakes or fist bumps between players or coaches.
  • No parents will be allowed on or near the field before, during or after tryouts. Parents should remain in their vehicles at all times.

Minimum General Requirements for Participation/Notifications:

  • Any coach, player, parent, referee and or spectator who is sick, has a persistent cough, is running a temperature or is displaying any symptoms suggesting that the individual may be ill, (from any contagious malady, including cold, flu, or suspected coronavirus) will be prohibited from attending tryouts.
  • Any coach or administrator who sees a participant who is displaying any of these symptoms should be safely isolated until an adult responsible for the participant can remove the player.
  • Everyone should be monitoring symptoms daily, and if an athlete or someone in the household shows any signs/symptoms of the novel coronavirus they should be staying at home for 10 days.
  • If any participant or parent is sick or feels sick or is an at-risk individual please STAY HOME.
  • Parent/Guardian to notify club immediately if their child becomes ill for any reason after attending any tryout session(s).
