FUSA Fall 2020 Season Important Updates

By this time, you all should have accepted your players roster spots and are ready for the next stage of preparing your players for the Fall 2020 FUSA season.

NEW UNIFORMS:
This is a new uniform year. Each family must order a new uniform. You will receive a custom email from Soccer & Rugby on how to order your player/s new uniform by Saturday, August 15^th (please check spam folder). If you do not receive by Saturday, please email either our Boys Registrar: Brittany Simonis - [email protected] or Girls Registrar: Megan Corrigan - [email protected].

Please be sure to place your new uniform order in a timely manner once you receive the email. We have over 500 players in our club this upcoming season and it is going to take Soccer & Rugby sometime to prepare every player’s new uniform.

Pre-Season Camp:
An email went out yesterday. Once we have confirmation on our Pre-Season Fields and each Age Groups training schedule, we will open online registration. Everyone must pre-register online, no cash accepted on the field. Please save the dates (Mon., 8/24 – Fri., 8/28) and keep an eye out for more info to come soon.

Weekly Training Schedule:
We know you are eager to receive your players Weekly Team and Age Group Training schedule… they will be created in the coming weeks and released on/around Friday, 8/21. Of note, our first week of training will be 8/31. First game weekend is 9/12 – 9/13.

FAST/Labor Day Tournaments:
There will be no FAST Tournament this year. FUSA travel teams will not participate in Labor Day Tournaments this year. Teams will compete in either a Columbus Day weekend or end of season Wrap-Up tournament. Your volunteer Team Manger will provide more details pertaining to your team’s tournament plans in the coming weeks.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Team Manager/Team Assistant:
Speaking of volunteers, there are still some teams without parent volunteers to be Team Managers. The FUSA Board has sent emails to the parents of those age groups. If you are interested in volunteering, please go to the Fairfield United website, log in and register as a volunteer. You can also reply to the email you received and express your interest. There are also Assist Manager opportunities available. If you are interested in volunteering for either role, please register as a volunteer on the Fairfield United website.

Every team needs a Team Manager assigned and SafeSport cleared before the start of the season. Please consider getting involved. We greatly appreciate and deeply thank all our current and future parent volunteers.
