It is our goal to place all interested players on a FUSA team, however, this is dependent on having enough player interest to fill an entire team roster. There is no guarantee that a position on a team will become available. Roster placements will be communicated by mid-June. ALL tryout attendees will receive an email communication.

Tryout Schedule

Sacred Heart: Located on Park Ave (Park Ave Field). If you take Merit exit 47 North and make the left off exit it is the field immediately on the right.
Rafferty Field (Fairfield University): 1073 N Benson Road - Leeber Road once on campus. If you enter through the main entrance go to the security and at the next stop sign make a right and it will be on the right. The big Stadium looking building.
Tomlinson: Please use the top lot for drop off and and parking. We will arrange checkin at the bottom of the steps.
Arrival Process:
- We ask that parents arrive 15-20 minutes early. We will be there 30 minutes early to check in players. Leave some extra time to find the fields on campus. Sessions are 75 minutes so they will start on time.
- Parking will be limited by the field with drop off and pickup so please drop off and we can help check players in and get them a number so they can get out onto the field.
- You can park on campus and walk over to the field. All parents should watch from the stands and are not allowed on the fields.
What Players Need:
- Ball
- Shin guards
- Water
- Prepare for weather (sweatshirt, rain jacket)
- Cleats, turf or sneakers permitted on fields
Conflicts
We recognize that the change in scheduling will result in some conflicts. Please complete the FUSA Tryout Conflict Form to inform us of any conflicts. We will work with the coaches to determine next steps and get back to families.
Tryout Registration Requirements
The following information must be provided by all players (returning and new) during the registration process.
- A Medical Authorization & Injury Release Form. Players will not be permitted on the field for tryouts unless a Medical & Injury Release Form is completed by a parent or guardian and on file with FUSA. This form is now completed online as a required part of the registration process (Click here to read the form but please note the form must be completed online).
- A current photo of the player (face only). A head shot photo is required for player and coach passes and team rosters can be uploaded during the registration process. Please provide a HEAD-SHOT picture as this will end up as a small 1"x1" image on a pass/roster and it needs to be clear. If you are having trouble uploading a picture, just ask your kids for help.
- A copy of the player's official government issued birth certificate or passport. This is a Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) requirement for proof of age. A copy of the birth certificate can be uploaded during the registration process.
